Our Commitment to Accessibility
At Decoriosity, we believe that beautiful homes — and the information that helps create them — should be available to everyone. We are committed to making our website usable for people of all abilities, including those who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technologies.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. We continually work to improve the experience for every visitor.
Standards We Follow
Decoriosity aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.
What We Do to Support Accessibility
We have taken the following steps to make Decoriosity more accessible:
Readable Text
We use a clear, legible typeface at a comfortable size. Headings, paragraphs, and lists are structured semantically so screen readers can navigate them properly. Color contrast between text and background meets WCAG AA contrast ratios where possible.
Descriptive Image Alt Text
Every meaningful image on Decoriosity includes descriptive alternative text (alt text) so that visitors using screen readers can understand what the image shows. Decorative images that add no informational value are marked appropriately so screen readers skip them.
Keyboard Navigation
The site is designed to be navigated using only a keyboard. You can move through menus, links, and form fields using the Tab key, activate them with Enter, and dismiss popups with Escape.
Logical Structure
Pages are organized with proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3) so visitors using assistive technologies can scan and skip to the sections they want.
Responsive Design
Decoriosity adapts to different screen sizes — phones, tablets, desktops, and screen magnifiers. Text reflows naturally without requiring horizontal scrolling.
Known Limitations
We are honest about where we still have work to do. Currently, we are aware of the following accessibility limitations:
- Some older blog posts may contain images without complete alt text. We are reviewing and updating these as we revisit each post.
- Embedded third-party content (such as Pinterest pins, Amazon product widgets, or YouTube videos) may not meet our accessibility standards because we do not control how those platforms render their content.
- Some affiliate disclosure banners may be served by third-party tools that we cannot fully customize.
If you encounter a barrier we have not listed here, please tell us — we want to know.
AI-Generated Imagery
Some images on Decoriosity are created using AI image generation tools. We treat AI-generated images with the same alt text standards as photographs, describing what the image visually depicts so all visitors can understand the content equally.
Third-Party Content
Decoriosity links to and embeds content from third-party websites and services, including Pinterest, Amazon, Google AdSense, and others. While we make every effort to choose accessible partners, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of content hosted on or served from external sites.

Ongoing Improvement
This statement reflects our current efforts, but accessibility is a journey. We will continue to test, learn, and improve. As we make updates, we will revise this page accordingly.
